Discipleship Team Leader

The leader of this team must have a heart for discipleship and nurturing of inquirers. Their task will be to oversee the planning and preparation as well as the training and implementation of all phases of the strategy for the counselling and discipleship of those that respond to the Lord during the IWT campaigns. Primary functions

Help communicate the vision for discipleship in the region to pastors and church leaders.
Help identify discipleship coordinators from each participating church.
Assist churches in developing and submitting a discipleship plan to the IWT Executive Committee for adults, youth and children.
Oversee with IWT Coordinator the training of Local Links and the setup and facilitation of the Discipleship Workshops.

Pastoral orientation - deep concern for proper care of new Christians
Administrative ability
Willing to make a long term commitment to discipleship in the community

Responsibilities of the Discipleship Team Leader

The responsibility of the Discipleship Team Leader is to ensure discipleship of inquirers is in place before the Impact World Tour. He/she will set the pace for the Discipleship Teams, running meetings and oversee the training.

Procedure

Step One:

Familiarize yourself with all of the responsibilities of this team. Refer to and personalize the timeline for your city.

Step Two:

Build the team and recruit reps from other churches. This team needs members who are willing to recruit and train others and invest in people’s lives.

Step Three:

Appoint three Team Leaders:

Local Link Team Leaders
Data Tracking Team Leaders
Strategic Discipleship Team Leaders

Step Four:

Split the members of the team into these three areas to assist the Team Leaders. It is a necessity for all Teams to work together.
