Please note: These job descriptions were composed for medium to large sized outreaches with Impact World Tour. For smaller events not all positions or simplified procedures might be required, please apply common sense in determining the needs for your community.
Responsibilities of Parking Captain
- Safe orderly parking of all vehicles at meeting site
- Determine what parking areas are available and supervise those areas
- Map out parking areas and flow of traffic in conjunction with predetermined steps of state, local, and institutional police
- Obtain materials needed and train volunteer personnel
The Parking Captain will supervise the safe, orderly parking of all vehicles at the meeting site, including entrances and exits from the parking locations. This also includes coordination of responsibility with state, local and institutional police personnel. Parking attendants might be offered a tip for their services. We highly recommend to refuse them in a polite way or put any money given in a common pot for a charitable cause. In some countries this might be helpful to maintain an even spread of volunteers for all positions. Otherwise you might end up with just parking helpers who are looking for the extra source of income.
