Student kick off
Please note: These job descriptions were composed for medium to large sized outreaches with Impact World Tour. For smaller events not all positions or simplified procedures might be required, please apply common sense in determining the needs for your community.
Goal
The goal of the Student Kick Off is threefold. First, it will increase student awareness and understanding of IWT. Second, it will give students opportunity to be involved (especially in the discipleship process) and third, it will provide opportunity for youth to give financially.
Method
In general the preferred method is to take a regular youth/student service time and make the focus on Impact World Tour. The service would begin as a regular service with worship and announcements done by the church. Then the youth pastor would give a short endorsement of IWT and introduce the IWT speaker. A suggested program is given below.
Program
- Endorsement of IWT by Youth Pastor & Intro. of speaker (2 min)
- IWT approved Speaker (15 – 20 min)
- IWT Video (7 min)
- Volunteer Sign-up Brochures (5 min)
- Financial Commitment Cards (5 min)
- Close in Prayer
Preparation
Several things are needed to facilitate the above program:
- Video projector – with IWT video cued and ready to play (please check sound level)
- Ushers (to pass out and collect cards & money)
- Counters – to count the offering
- Music during offering (live music if possible- e.g. piano or guitar)
