Impact Sunday
The main purpose is to inform the whole congregation about the upcoming outreach and encourage every person to participate in prayer, giving and serving.
Impact Sundays can be held and organized without an IWT speaker - this will be helpful if the availability of IWT staff is limited and for smaller congregations. Unless the pastor arranges otherwise, there will be many of the regular elements of the church’s normal service including worship, announcements, offering and prayer times. The normal sermon time is used to share about Impact World Tour
The pastor or service leader plays an important role as they not only share their personal endorsement of IWT but also help set the expectation for their congregation’s involvement in praying, serving and giving.
During the presentation, s/he will share the vision and goals of IWT and what God is doing in the community already. S/he will show the promo video and provide an opportunity for individuals to pray about how God would have them get involved, through giving and as a volunteer. A separate offering is then received toward the local IWT budget.
